My grandmother, Elenor, was a private woman who only talked about herself in great detail towards the end of her life. In the summer of 2021, I had a mental breakdown and needed to get out of Montana. On my way to Los Angeles, I told myself I would visit her around Christmas instead of on this trip and give her the artwork I made that semester to liven her home décor. On August 9th, 2021, she killed herself.

Elenor is a series of repurposing past photographs into a story of who my grandmother was and whom I believed her to be: a friend, a mother, someone lively. Spanning from her early 20s in the 1950s to the last photo I was able to take of her and my grandfather, Terrence, in 2018.
